Hi, fantasy fiction enthusiasts! I published my first novel in 2006, the stand-alone adventure The Noble Rogues. I never thought I would pen another story…
Until 2012. On an otherwise insignificant day, I stumbled upon a new hero: a girl in an azure cloak standing on a cliff, staring out across a moonlit river. The girl wrestled with her decision to leave her home, alone, to face an adversary she suspected might defeat her. Despite her uncertainty, the girl took the risk.
And so I decided to take my own.
Ten years later, I published The Obsidian Staff, the first novel in The Lost Legacy Series. In 2025, I released The First Conquest, Part One: Departure, the sequel. My novels are inspired by experiences living overseas, with characters shaped by diverse cultures, familial relationships, and inner struggles and revelations. The menagerie of talking animals is inspired by years of observing cats lazing in the sun and wondering what in Ilian’s name they were thinking.
I am also a guest author at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in full period attire.
In my free time, I volunteer with rescue dogs at an animal shelter. I also sweep aisles and muck stalls at a local stable, hoping to catch gossip from horses waiting for their evening meal.
